First the recording studio manager will meet with you our client to determine their recording needs.
-
Second while meeting with the you we will make a projected estimate of the cost for recording services. This will be based upon the projected amount of time needed to for recording, the number of tracks on the given project, and the amount of time that will be dedicated to mixing and mastering the project.
-
Thirdly after an estimate is agreed upon receiving a deposit a time for using the recording studio will be scheduled.
-
Before the the actual time of recording there will be an additional meeting with you the client and the sound engineer to discuss the recording project in detail. The purpose of this meeting is to determine the types of instruments that will be used if any, how many vocals will be recorded if any and to determine the over all feel of the project.
-
After this meeting the the Studio Manager and Sound Engineers will meet together to make a plan for the new project. In this meeting we will determine the number of tracks that will be used for each session, the order for laying down each track, and the specific microphones that will be needed for each session. This will all be written in detail on a track sheet. In addition a map for each session will be planned out to determine where the clients will be situated in each session. Once a clear plan for the recording projected has been made we are ready for our first recording session.
-
The Sound Engineers will arrive a minimum of one hour before the scheduled recording session to ensure that the everything is in order and that the proper microphones have been taken out of storage and are prepared for the days session.
-
The clients arrive and according to the plan that was made earlier the sound engineers help our clients set up their instruments or prepare for the the recording session.
-
Later we give the clients a five minute break so that the sound engineers can properly set up the microphone for the recording session. This helps pt prevent damage to the microphones.
-
The clients are then called back into the studio to take their places and the sound engineers take their places in the control room.
-
An initial sound check is made and the recording session begins.
-
After all the required tracks are “laid down” (recorded) the clients can return home and the mixing and editing process begins.
-
The sound engineer will produce an edited and mixed sample for the client to hear.
-
After the client is satisfied a final master copy of the recorded project will be produced by the sound recording engineer.
-
A bill will be maid including hourly fees for usage of the studio, mixing and mastering fees and needed taxes.
-
Upon receiving payment of the bill from the client the client will receive a master copy of their project that they can take to be mass duplicated elsewhere or they can request that we make mass duplication of their project onto CD.
